This was the trip where I completed my PADI Open Water Certification. I did the swimming pool lessons and theory parts back in London a couple of months before, and so just had to complete my four open water dives to finish the certification.
The best dive of the holiday was the visit to the site known as the lost blue hole. This is an hour or so boat ride from Nassau, but well worth it. The hole is about 60m wide and (I think) about 200m deep. Around the edge of the hole, we saw several reef sharks as well as some southern stingrays. We were able to descend into the hold down to around 24 metres. The walls consisted of various openings into which we were able to explore a little.
