This trip was a fortnight from 8 to 22 June 2003 to Pigeon Island, St Lucia. We stayed at the new Sandals Grande Resort. I was able to do 19 dives in total, the most I've done in a single holiday.
Overall conditions for diving were quite good, but we did have to contend with quite strong currents on several occasions.
Lesleen-M Wreck. This is the most popular wreck dive on the north west side of St Lucia. I came here four times altogether, including a fantastic night dive where we were lucky enough to see two large green turtles who swam around with us for some time. Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera for that, having decided that as it was my first night dive, I'd have enough things to think about with the dive lights.
Superman Slide. This site takes you up to the underwater side of Petit Piton (the two Pitons are a major landmark in St Lucia, being tall volcanic peaks). This site has been featured in one of the Superman movies, I believe, hence the name.
For this trip I used the Reefmaster digital camera I had used in the Bahamas, but for the first time an external flash. This made a significant difference to the colours as you can see by comparing these photos with the ones from the Bahamas seven months earlier.
I managed to take quite a few photos on this trip, hence they are spread out over the following three pages. Also included are a few pictures taken while snorkelling.
